What you get

A release decision, not another broad ASO dashboard

The preflight connects the existing audit and competitor evidence into one small action loop for indie app developers.

One change first

The highest-priority observed issue becomes one narrow release task instead of a long unranked report.

Evidence and confidence

The result explains why the action was chosen and how much public evidence was actually available.

A recheck deadline

Copy the task brief, publish one controlled change, and rerun the same check after the listing is live.

Evidence boundary

Unknown is not a defect

App stores do not expose every optimization field publicly. AppTide keeps the ASO score separate from evidence coverage and turns missing public fields into a verification step.

  • Observed public fields can support a recommendation.
  • Unavailable fields are labeled unverified and scored neutrally where the audit supports it.
  • Competitor public-listing fields are context, not keyword-demand, ranking, or conversion evidence.
  • The user remains responsible for relevance, policy, console data, and publication.

FAQ

ASO release preflight questions

What the tool can prove, what it cannot prove, and how to use the result.

What is an ASO release preflight?

It is a short check before an app launch or listing update. AppTide reads one public App Store or Google Play listing and returns one next action, its evidence, confidence, and a date to check again.

Does the preflight use private App Store Connect or Play Console data?

No. It uses public listing evidence only. Private keyword fields, conversion rates, retention, revenue, and console-only experiments are excluded and shown as limitations.

Why is the competitor URL optional?

The fastest workflow needs only your listing. A same-store competitor can add public-listing context, but competitor metadata does not prove search volume, ranking potential, relevance, or conversion impact.

Is the ASO score the same as evidence coverage?

No. The ASO score summarizes observed listing checks. Evidence coverage shows how many expected public fields were actually available, so missing data is not mistaken for a confirmed defect.

One release, one decision

Check the evidence before rewriting your app listing

Run the preflight, copy one task, publish one controlled change, and check the same evidence again.
